Hi,
Any ideas for stocking a 5 gal tank in cooler waters. I don't want to heat this one but would like to stock it with something other than goldfish. I was thinking of a shoal of white cloud minnows or something similar???

It is on the small side for WCMs, as they are quite active and schooling. Heterandria formosa would make a better choice, they are both small and hardy. Or a desert goby.

Yes i agree a 5gal is too small for WCMM's as they rather active shoaling fish, so would need to be in a group of at least 6 in a tank that offers enough room for them to shoal in with ease, i would recommend at least a 12gal long tank for a shoal of WCMM's.
