Try to get lots of air bubbles and lots of water breaking surface from good filters or some kind of water pump and a bunch of air stones and a soft floresent light. Its neat heat decipates with water Evap. not very good if direct sun light hits tank.
just make sure fish can handle some of these solutions. Works well for me.

150gal
12 inch pelco common but a pig
2 oscars
4 rosboras
2 black convicts
2 double fin golds
2 koi
1 trout
what blows me out of the water is my convicts and oscars dont bother any other fish.

I find that one of the best ways to cool down your tank is ice bags. Don't add the ice directly to the tank, just put in in a plastic bag or freeze a small plastic bottle of water and let it float in the tank. Just be careful not to decrease the temperature too quickly and too drasticly.
