Convict Cichlid Behaviour

Hi, would really like to know some of your personal information on the convict cichlid
Do you enjoy them and why
Or why dont you like them
What makes them a good cichlid
Which fish they should be housed with etc.

Your personal references please, cheers.

I have kept convicts many times before and along with everyone else that has kept them, bred them aswell. I really like them. They are not fussy about water or food, when they are nice and healthy their stripes look really good. They have lots of character like most cichlids. I find they mix well with other fish that are somewhat " tough ", like cichlids, danios, barbs, catfish etc... BUT if you have a pair and they breed, well then they don't go well with anything.

they where my first fish bred them and now only have one he is a stunner as some of you might of seen in my pictures and he is territorial but thats only with other territorial fish
