Hi

Has anyone one changed a trigon 190 to a marine setup i was wondering how easy it is. I was told the lighting could be a problem because of the shape.
Any help on the equipment i need?

Hello, and welcome to the salt side!

Firstly, do you have any plans for the stocking itself, do you want it with corals? Or not, as if you dont want corals the lighting would be easier.

As YF asked - do you plan corals on a reef?

i would like the corals with a few clown fish i was told that the highlite T5 would do for the lighting.

ive got a similar tank, mines the aqua one equivelent to the trigon 350.

My findings are, its hard to get good flow in all areas of the tank because of its shape being so awkward. Very difficult to sump. hard to scape.

Good for lighting though, as i only need one halide. if i went for a 4' tank that held a similar water volume i would need two
