I've just decided to convert back to SW with the tank in my signature. once been with marine FW no longer has the draw to me it once did. i've decided on a FOWLR and inverts tank (basically everythink except coral).

Going to have about 9-10 kilos of live rock in total is this enough?

stocking ideas are from the following list

fish
- black or orange clown(not sure which yet)
- sixline/pjama wrasse
- royal gramma
- firefish
- watchman goby(with pistol shrimp)
any comments and ideas from that on how many and which from the list?

inverts
- pistol shrimp(with watchman goby)
- blood/skunk cleaner shrimp
- boxing shrimp
- harlequin shrimp (can somebody answer the obvious feeding question of how much it costs to feed these)
- maldive/elegant starfish (obviously if i dont get harlequin shrimp)
- emerald crab
again any comments and ideas from that on how many and which from the list?

cuc
- 3-4 turbo snails
- 6 blue legged/blue knuckle hermit crabs
- 2 red legged hermit crabs

how does all that sound?

any comments welcome?

:hi: welcome to the salty side of TFF

May I give you a tip - we are a really active smallish community on here who will always try our best to help you and answer questions - however, please don't do double posts  Most of us cruise all the marine section sub forums at some point so just be patient -after all it is a skill you will need in bucket loads for the salty side :good:

Looking forward to reading your journel and seeing lots of photos

9-10 kilos of Rock will be fine

Stocking looks fine

For the clown I get a Percula and I probably get a pair - avoid the bigger more aggressive clowns

I'd also go for a Brittle star rather than the Maldive - much easier to keep

I'd also avoid the Harlequin shrimp JMO

ok thanks. i'll look into a brittle star thanks any particular one?

for the clown i like the ocellaris but not sure whether to go for the orange or the black yet?

i do like harlequin shrimps but the general response seems to be that they are hard to keep so probably give them a miss.

any serpent or brittle star apart from the green brittle star

Personally I like the Green one's and have had no problems with them but they do allegedly eat fish
