hi guys :D

well yesterday i just ogt myself my first three crowntails! (very very excited, you have no idea). But anyways, it's been about 24 hours now and i've fed them a meal of frozen brine shrimp anda nother meal of pellets. Theyt ook in the food very well

but today, i noticed that one of them haven't pased any poo poo  to me, he looks constiapted, his stomach looks a bit bloated (like i just fed him a bit too much, but the last time i fed him was about 5 hours ago). And there is only one big black poop in the tank, while the others tank are scattered with tiny pieces of poo here and there.

i know that cooked peas would probably work, but i have only fed my bettas once with cooked pea and they didn't take it very well :/ are these signs of constipation or am i just being paranoid about them?

You could try zucchini or peas. Whether it's constipation or not it sure won't hurt.

wow :D i had no idea!! i cooked some peas to feed all my fish (feamle bettas and males), adn they absouteLY LOVE IT !!!! all of them ate it with such enuthiasm :D espiecally the feamles (well they'd eat anything wiht a lot of enuthiasm, but that's not the point :p), the crowntails shyly took it at first, but nwo gulp it down :D

this is great

sorrell, do i boil the zucchini too? i heard they're good for bottom feeders as well (i have otos and cories)

yay!! he pooped over night and built me a nest  how long should i keep him on pea only diet?

Thats good to hear cc! Personally I do veggies once a week on all my bettas just in case and to keep their systems clean. I'm also a fan of formula I, it's a veggie based marine diet (frozen) and they love it as well.

You do prepare zuchinni the same way.

that's neat :D i've never fed them peas before, never knew they loved it so much!!!

i've never been so happy to see fish poop at the obttom of my tank  his stomach still looks a bit bloated to me, so i guess it hasnt' fully cleared, but i'm sure hte pea really hleped A LOT! i'm going to keep him on the pea diet for another day or so and then gently switch him back to regular food
