Hi all. I posted on here a few months back with regard to my Angel Fish who was swimming rather strangely , spending a lot of time at the bottom of the tank and coming up for air an awful lot. I think - with various peoples advice - that i cured him , i gave him some drops for "swimming bladder disease" and he went back to his normal self after a fortnight or so. However , i have now noticed a "pea" sized bump on the left hand side of his body. He's had it a couple of weeks or so , but hasnt really lost his appetite . flakes and dried blood worm mostly. After a bit of internet swatting , i decided to try and feed him some peas , but he's not interested at all. Supposing it is constipation - is there anything else i can try ? Thanks in advance.

sounds like dropsy. are his scales up?

The tank is a 60 litre , i do realise its quite small for an Angel , although he's seemed quite happy over the last 18 months. Im not quite sure by what you mean " scales up" , i thinnk he looks ok , although he looks like he's going an orangy colour all of a sudden - he was silver. Is dropsy treatable ? and will it affect my other fish in the tank , 2 clown loaches. Thanks.

if his scales are up, kind of like a pine cone for example.

dropsy is treatable, however i am no expert so i would look to someone else for further advice.
