Allright lads.
I have had an alarming change in my main fishtank (Juwel Rio 180) these past few days. First I was devastated when my Paradise Gourami caught swimbladder (probably due to a sudden temperature change; I think he was under the water change bucket when I poured it all in =/). He died a day later =/
Second; I have noticed one of my Honduran Redpoints savagely fin nipping several of the fish in my large community tank (check my signature for fish stocklist). What surprises me the most is that he is targeting my Angelfish; these guys are easily 4 times bigger than he is!
So, I have decided to get rid of the both of them (as the other one is starting to get nippy herself); odds are that they are halfbred or not full HRPs anyway (why else would they be so aggressive?).
Now I come to my point; are there any other cichlids I could use to substitute for the HRPs? I've been looking for less aggressive replacements; the Bolivian Rams seem to be a good match but I also like the Tbar Cichlids.
Any ideas lads? Any feedback (critical or not) is quite welcome!
PS - When I say "get rid" I mean rehome; not a flush down the toilet =P
