Connector sizes??

Hi..first time trying to connect hoses.

I have a tube with 8mm Inside diameter and 11mm outside diameter.

I can only find connectors on eBay which skip 2.. mm at a time, they are sized by OUTSIDe diametet.

Should I buy a 10mm OD connector for my 11mm OD hose?

Thanks in advance for suggestions encompassing the subject.
