Guys couple oc questions neved used a sump before so just after some basic info

Do i need to drill my main tank 350L?
What if theres a power cut ?
is there any guides on making and connecting setting up a sump ?
I have a 2ft tank to be usef as a sump up 100l

You dont necessarily need to drill your tank. You can get HOB Overflow box for your size tank, it works by siphon and if there were a power cut your tank would only drain to the level the box stops taking in water.

In that case you would want to keep your sump low enough on water to take the excess water from your display that way you dont end up with a wet floor..

I have been contemplating doing this to my 130gal and use a 55gal as a sump as i have an extra but i have not worked out all the bugs yet and the 55 has 3 inches of clearance from the bottom of my stand.

If you google DIY sump or HOB overflow box you can find them all over ebay and other sites. Hope this helps some. This is just what i have found out so far. If you google diy sump you will get a lot of good videos and some not so helpful videos. There is also one on there you can make a overflow from pvc you can check that out but I'm not sure on the details on that one..

Good Luck!! Hope it helps you out on your journey!

P.S. anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong. This is only from the research i have found and i dont know for sure as i have not completed it myself yet!
