Well I was wondering is the congo tetra peaceful?

How many should be in a group?

Do they tend to "nip" other fish?

And if anyone has pictures, comments, of theirs could you post them.

Congo Tetras are a peaceful fish but are best kept with other similar sized fish as far as I know. We keep 6 with Pentazona and Ticto Barbs, Bleeding Heart Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Pictus catfish and Plecos. There has never been any aggression shown towards any of the other fish.
They do need a good size tank as they can be active at times and will grow to about 3".
Here are ours:

yup peaceful, don't think they are nippy

one of the biggest tetras and my personal favourite (hopefully i can finally get some soon!)

get a nice big group in a nice big tank adn they look stunning :good:

A very peaceful fish. Can exceed 3"/75mm though and do like swimming space, so a decent sized tank is needed for a proper sized group.
