I'm new.
For Tiger Barbs, some websites say that I need 10-15 gallons of water; other sites say 2-5 Gallons of water needed for a good environment. Which one should I go for?
The question of removing water and adding water:
I currently have this old..old.....OLD REALLY OLD tool which the labels & stuff have worn off. My dad has found this in our old house, used for pumping water out of a fountain or something. I'm not sure if this could do for my small tank, roughly 1/3 of a metre long, 20 cm high and 20 cm width. Would this probably take away my neon tetras and tiger barbs?

to the forums, as for the tiger barbs question, I would go for as big a tank as you can afford/fit in your room. This gives you more room to play with in the future, and also Tigers should be kept in groups of at least 6, but preferably 8 or more. I have 8, and they are the most friendly and playful fish you could want.
♂ I agree with the other poster... go with a bigger tank. 2-5 gal is ridiculous for freshwater tropical fish like barbs. Get at least 10 gal, hopefully more. You will probably soon get bored with a small tank of only tiger barbs. Get the biggest tank you can afford, have room for, and properly maintain.
