Hello, my name is hmongol and for years I have kept and sought out for only the rarest and most beautiful betta without any regards or cares for the commons.

Often times when seeking for a betta I would walk past the common betta without a glance and think to myself who actually buys these kind of betta. I,ve always thought that they were for some clueless silly kid who couldnt tell the difference.

After finally joining a bettaforum (this one) and viewing and reading about other people's post. I was very surprised to see how many people out there who have posted about how much they loved and hour prideful they are to own a veil tail... The most common and ordinary kind.

I couldnt understand how anyone could keep buying veiltail, considering that they are basically the muttS of betta. but after reading all these prideful threads and owners I've thought twice about just simply owning a betta and how much joy they can bring regardless of what kind.

I am now currently the owner of 3 Lovely veil tail, a commin blue, green and red. I was a jerk in the beginning to own a betta for the wrong reasons which was to boast my own personal need for attention and envy. I feel so bad for all those veil tail sitting there with jerks like me who doesnt care for em.

Thanks for reading and sorry for being so long. To all the common betta owners, I give you mad props!

I have four veil tails they are just as beautiful as my butterfly, crown tail and plakat betta's,and you're right a lot of people don't give them a second glance  but now you've come to realise how beautiful the common ones are 

I've owned a butterfly male veil tale and an imported pure white halfmoon plakat male and both are just as good as each other.

It's their personality what makes them so good and not what they look like.

I'm glad you've discovered the joys of VT betta. (VT are my favourite as you get all the nice fancy-ness of the betta without the too big a tail and struggling to swim that comes with the larger tailed betta).

this betta looks identical to mine i just can get a pic he keeps moving lol

ive called him toothless i saw the how to train your dragon and then went to the pet shop saw him and rescued him from a 6 <-> cm by 15 cm (high) and called him toothless :)
