ok well i just was given a condy, here is a picture of it (to make sure it in fact is one)
condy.jpg

i have been reading about feeding and how to take care of it. i read that they eat frozen brime shrimp, or fish meat, and things like that. i also need to hand feed them. now my question is, how exactly do i feed them? can i just drop a cube of frozen brime shrimp in and it'll eventually eat it when they float by, or do i have to hover a piece of food near them and their tenticles will grab it and take it from me?

if not then how exatcly do i feed them, where do i put the food so they'll take it?

also i have a 50/50 bulb. am i wanting to leave this bulb on 24/7 for the condy, or is it safe to turn off overnight and have it on during the day?

Ligthts on 10 hours a day. Feed with a turkey baster ;). Just squirt food at the tentacles.

Feed it somthing like, brineshrimp or lancefish. Just drop it into the center of the anemone, it will wrap a tentacle around it and eat it. The lights should be on at least 10hours like ski said. If you leave em longer, make it no more than 12hours.

I would like to get a condy, cause their common here and their beautiful, but my perc would never use it.

get a new perc..... Condies look awsome, maybe when i get a 55 gallon.....

neither do xenia forgspawn etc. but clowns will host those, there is also the risk that ur clown will be eaten by the condy

lol forget the condy for me.

"I want some candy, not a condy. I wanna eat candy, not have a condy eat me" said the Little clownfish named Nemo.

lol

I have the stupidest yellow tail damsel....that thing is there hanging out around and in the condy...i have to kinda scare it away from there all the time...pretty soon I won't have a damsel no more lol. suicidal fish *sigh*

it may be starting to host it, as damsels will host them just like clowns

Yea, damsels and clowns are close cousins cause they are the only fish that can stand the stinging of anemones. Thats gotta be fascinating to see a damsel use an anemone...

can you give us a pic of the damsel useing the anemone???

wierd though, i thought that condy's dont host fish..well 99% of the time anyways.

i've only seem the damsel over there one time, and i've never seen it over there since. i will keep an eye on it and have my camera ready in case i see it again.

anemones and corals dont host fish, they dont reallly have a choice its the clowns and damsels that pick what they want to host
