I have a Juwel Vision 260 and when I open the lid to feed the fish I notice there is lots of condensation and water dripping from the lighting bar.

Should this worry me or is this normal?

assuming this is the standard jewel lighting rig this is fine and normal, the end caps are designed to be water tight and so safe for use in moist enviroments

Thanks, yes its the standard lighting rig. I only ask as sometimes the watter is dripping off it but if thats normal then I can stop worrying about it, I was going to get a plastic condensation thing to go under the lights but have heard this dims the light to the tank.

ive got jewell tanks and like the above said its perfectly fine :)
mine drips like a mother lol, but never had any issues at all

adding a condensation plate does dim lights a bit, but also it will stop any excess heat escaping and could cause higher temps

id personally install a comp fan if u dont mind topping up water more frequently. not because im worried about the fitting but condensation shows lack of air flow = no gas transfer = dosile/ fish and increase in algae growth.

thats just my honest opinion.

if the waters is being lost through condensation you;ll need to keep an eye on sg level and top up as appropriate

To be honest im not losing that much water I was more worried about the light tube having water all over it.
