My poor babies!!!

I'll admit that I have been working a lot lately and haven't been paying as much attention to my fish as I should (I still feed and change water regularly) but I haven't been looking at them much. I noticed recently too that I seemed to be missing a few fish, who have apparently died without a trace.

Anyways, I sit down tonight to look at my fish, and I notice they do not look well. Their bellies are concave and almost seem to be discolored.

They all still eat eagerly.

What should I do?

I'm not an expert with chiclids, but this could be malawi bloat or dropsy (both bacterial) don't take my word for it though.

I dont know id guess at some kind of internal bacterial problem. The look a little bloated rather than concave did you man concave?

Update:

The fish are still eating like crazy and also behaving what seems to be normal. Their stomaches are looking much fuller than before and are about normal again. I have been changing the water every night, about 30%, and feeding 2x a day, soaking food in 2 cap fulls of metro and dumping the mixture, plus a little extra metro, into the tank.

However, their stomaches are still discolored, whiter than the rest of their body. Does anyone have any info about this? I'm hoping this goes away w/ the medication by the end of the week.

Hmmm..... we just got 2 tiger barbs (gonna get 2 more later)... and I put one of them in the main tank b/c the other kept bullying it... and when I inspected it closer, I also noticed something weird about it's stomach.
I didn't think much of it until I saw this thread. I also think that fish has a concave stomach. When it was still in the hospital tank it hid all the time from the other fish. It ate, but just didn't move alot. Guess I should've kept it in there and treated it.. now I'm gonna have to traumatize it again trying to fish it out.... poor lil guy!

I really hope your fish get better.. whatever may be wrong with them!

Check for when they go to the toilet.
The white on the belly does it look fluffy.
