Ok so I think I finally have a vague idea of what kind of fish I want to put in my 29 gal.

1x Spiny Eel
3x Golden Wonder Killies
4x Honey Sunset Gouramis
3-4x Zebra, Chain, or Kuhli Loaches (Not sure which one I like the best)

Other than that I was thinking possibly some swordtails, flag tailed porthole catfish, or maybe some kind of peaceful barb. Any advice or ideas would be great, thanks!

i dont know about compatibility, but make sure that you do NOT exede the 1" of fish Per Gallon.

if you already know this than i hope you have fun with your fish :)

I wouldn't follow the 1" per gallon rule for everything. You have to take into account what type of fish you own. You can't put a 18" fish into an 18 gallon. Use common sense. The "rule" of 1" per gallon is really for small fish that don't really get bigger than 2-3".

The only advice I think I can give is make sure you have a sand substrate for the eel. Also, be careful about the gouramis. They are sometimes a bit territorial.
