Compatible Light Unit For Juwel Rio 125

The ballast has gone on my Juwel Rio 125 light unit. I need to buy a new one, but I was thinking that if there are any other compatible light units out there that would fit my Rio tank, then I could buy one of those instead.

I know that Juwel light units have absolutely rubbish ballast reliability, so I am going to temporarily fix it by following this thread below, on replacing the ballast:

"Fixing Juwel Light Bar - Tropical Fish Forums"


However, I want a neater, more permanent solution, so was wondering if there were any light units by other companies that would be suitable for my aquarium?

I have heard that Arcadia I-Bar light units are compatible, but are there any others available out there?

Your help would be very, very appreciated guys (and girls too)

As far as im aware the only alternative is the ibar unless you fancy having an overhead luminaire?, 80cm is what you looking for size wise and really do look stunning. As long as you have no prone to jumping fish you should be fine lol

I have a few quite lively fish in the tank, eg when i feed my fish, there are some that dart to the top of the tank and worry me that they will eventually jump out.

However, i'll look into it and find out if there are anymore compatible ones out there. Overhead lumiaire's sound like a really nice option, it's just, i'm worried that i may come to the tank one day and find fish on the floor!!!
