Compatible Eels?

right now I just have a marbled bichir (dinosaur eel,... whatever you'd like to call it) and I will get a 55 gal. soon, and once I get it, I want another eel, or two. what could live with it? it is still very little,... ( just a baby, maybe 2 inches at best ) would he just live with other marbled bichirs, and if so, would he eat smaller ones, or would larger ones eat him? I am really partial to it. thanks for all the help

I used to have a bircher kept with 3 different eels(fire/clown spiney/spiney) and had no problems at all.

Then my power went off and it died
