Sorry for so many compatibility threads!
Can guppies be housed with killifish, African ropefish, or clown loaches?

Killifish should not be kept with guppies due to different water requirements, (killis like soft water whereas guppies like hard water).

Ropefish eat killifish and guppies.

Small Clown loaches are fine with killifish and guppies but when the loaches mature they need a bit of space and might eat the guppies/ killis if they get hungry. But normally they are fine.

Small Clown loaches are fine with guppies

I wouldn't keep Clown loaches with Guppies, Clown Loaches prefer softer water and a stronger current than male Guppies are comfortable with.

I wouldn't keep clown barbs with killifish or guppies. They are too big and boisterous. But they would be ok with a Birchir.

Okay; good to know, because I might would have gotten some of those. What common fishes (available at Aquarium Outfitters or other stores) would do well with them?

Small barbs like cherry, checkered and ruby barbs. Pseudomugil & Iriatherina rainbowfish will be fine with guppies and most killis but some of the bigger killifish might pick on the rainbows.

Small peaceful tetras will be fine with most killifish, but most tetras don't do well in hard alkaline water so should not be mixed with guppies.
