Compatibility Question

Colombians might eat Cories but then they're not really compatible anyways because Colombians traverse from Freshwater to Brackish to Marine and back agaiin in their requirements as they grow older. Most people don't realize that.

Teelie is right, unless you can slowly increase the ammount of salt in your tanks water until over a period of a couple of years it eventually becomes a full marine tank then columbian shark catfish are not a good choice of fish, also depending on the exact species the shark cat could grow to over 3 feet! Corydoras dont tolerate high salt levels very well at all.

No aluminum cats are a species of african Bagrid catfish of the Chrysichthys family, im not sure on the exact scientific name though. Columbian shark cats are from the Ariidae family.

This is true but they can also be reverse acclimated back to freshwater though I don't know if they can they can be kept there. I've read they can be but at the same time I'd rather keep them in either Brackish or Marine just to be safe. I wouldn't want to raise Colombians to adulthood only to lose them.
