Hi,

I'm wanting to put a variety of small fish like Tetras, Barbs, Danios in my tank but would also like a few larger 'eye-catchers' to stand out as the tank is mostly for the benefit of my little boy who loves pointing at the larger fish in my other tank (2 x Black Moors & 2 x Shubunkins) and shouting 'FSSH'.

Any ideas or does anyone know where i could find some information about compatibility?

Thanks.

Pearl gouramis are nice fish and pretty well behaved IME. Also from my experience cories are one of the biggest entertainers for youngsters. Mine would spend hours a day watching the little pandas run back and forth and up and down in their group of 4. HTH :)

2 black moors & 2 shubunkins in a tank
what size is the tank, Shubunkins get very large.
Think about relocating them to a pond please. :/

as for larger fish what about bengal danios(danio devario)
max adult size 10cm, but they will eat very small fish and shrimps.

The tank is 15 gal and the Shubunkins are still small (smaller than the Black Moors) but they will be moving into the pond when they get bigger and be replaced by some other fantails i presume so no need to worry :)
