compatability question

I just wanted to know, i have read that silver dollars are extreemly peaceful, and voratious eaters. I have in a quarantine tank right now, and was wondring if small tetra, 1-2 inches max in length, are safe around such a fish.

There is a good chance that the silver dollars will eat the smaller fish once they are large enough to get them into their mouths, silver dollars are peacefull but they arent the complete herbivors people believe them to be and like almost all fish will eat anything they can get.
