rite now i have a
-20g
-cories
-rainbow shark
-violet goby

i just visited the pet store and got 2 cories. i was gonna get a dwarf gourami but im not sure. i have a lot more room in my tank and was wonderin what fishes would be compatilbe?

First of all, you need to return the rainbow shark and the violet goby unless you have enormous tanks ready for them. They both grow very large and require massive tanks and filtration systems. The violet goby is also a brackish fish, which means that it requires some (aquarium) salt in it's water. Cories, however, cannot tolerate salt. I would keep the cories and get a dwarf gourami and some other small fish that you like. Live bearers such as mollies and platys are fun and easy fish for beginners.
