I have a 55lt community tank at the moment, and my OH wants to add some Cherry shrimp.
It is mostly planted and plenty of places to hide, I have mostly passive fish in there, except maybe the Bolivian ram who seems to have a bit of an attitude.
I have a 20lt Guppy tank as well, but would the Guppies eat my shrimp? Hell, would the shrimp eat my guppies?? Are they known for violence or are they mostly harmless?
I don't mind if they breed (if they do at all), I'd rather have a separate tank for them because it would be so much prettier, but I've been absolutely banned from adding any more new tanks and I really don't have anywhere to put another one anyway just yet, so I either put the shrimp in my community tank or with my guppies, or not at all
Do Cherry shrimp need lots of plants? I've seen the tanks are usually full of grass? Are they easy to breed?
Oh I have a 20lt bowl as well, but that has three Guppy fry in it, and isn't really well planted, would the shrimp be safer in there? Would my baby guppies get eaten??
Halp! What do you think?
