My wife cooked Cauliflower for lunch (and forced me to eat it), but since there are only 2 of us..... and a Cauliflower head is so big..... lots left over..... so.... I assumed my BN's would like to share.... and they liked it and since I have a huge 25cm Pleco in the display tank.... I thought I'd drop him some as well....... WOW!.....

The whole community went crazy like when I feed bloodworms...... the Orange Chromides..... Kribensis, Serpae, Angels, Congo tets and in particular the Raphaelis, Chinese Algae eater and Plecostomus could not get enough..... they just devoured it in seconds..... I fed 3 times and they just kept going.... Even the Clown loach had his fair share...... Just for the sake of my fish...... I hope my wife will do Cauliflower more often..... It's a pleasure to watch them enjoying it......

hmmm, never tried cauliflower. I refuse it when offered so probably thought fish would be the same :)

My bristlenoses LOVED carrot! The liked cauliflower and brocolli too but carrot was a favourite! Didnt foul the tank up like soft stuff like cucumber or courgette!

Carrot made the fish poo luminous orange  however my albino and calico bristlenoses coloured up amazing!!

thanks for the idea, corys, BN and danios all happily munching cauliflower this evening :)

I tried mine on mixed veg last night. My JD could not get enough of the Sweetcorn, but now her poo is yellow today lol

I normally just try peas and they go down a treat. In fact the only thing that they do not seem to like is Brocolli.

Mine have had a broccoli floret today, they picked it clean in minutes.
I can expect to be gravel vaccing green poo tomorrow

I can only get my fish to eat peas and spinach so far. I tried green beans last night- not interested. I've tried brocolli stalks and they had a nibble. Cauliflower is banned from my house though - I've not eaten it since I was about 9 and was about to put a piece in my mouth with a catapillar on it during Sunday dinner

I didn't know they could have carrots though ... I shall have to try them too.

My oto's don't mind courgette but they won't eat cucumber. It's odd.

Can anyone give me an idea what other vegetables they can safely have

I would imagine any vegetable is worth a try for the Oto's.
I'm going to try the carrot, then cabbage.
Mine do like the courgette, beans & broccoli stalk though
