Hello all! About 6 months ago I adopted a Pleco from a friend. It's a common Pleco, you know the ones that are almost all black. Well the first 4 months the fish would hide all the time and only come out at night. Now he comes out all the time and is not spooked at all but here is my problem. The Pleco has become very agressive towards my other fish. He attacks my very big Silver Dollar and has even left marks on her side  The Pleco is almost 12 inches long and I have her in a 45 gallon tank. I hate to get rid of her she is so beautiful. Also, there is plenty of food for her. I give her Algea tablets every day and some other food that sinks to the bottom that she seems to love. Are these fish naturally agressive?

Any suggestions?

sounds like he's not getting enough food.

They will lurn that they can heat fish slime given a chance, add some shelled pea's and courgette to the tank and see if he eat's them.
