Draven
Fish Fanatic
I called a friend who used to breed bettas and still has angel fish and some other species. I wanted his thoughts on my betta and suggestions. I was really surprised when I talked to him. I'm amazed he ever had baby bettas!
- He lets his water sit for 3 days and claims the chlorine will evaporate.
- He doesn't like brine shrimp or blood worms. He says they are not natural food for bettas and prefer angleworms from the garden. He also suggested frozen glass(?) worms, saying those were better then blood worms.
- He also said he just takes plants and weeds from lakes and ponds.
He prefers to keep everything all natural and doesn't use chemicals in his water or anything else. It really surprised me to hear this side of things.
What do you all think about his methods?
