Comfort Hydrometer

We have purchased a 'Comfort Hydrometer' for checking the salt levels. Is this what most people use, as this is what we were told to use when we set up at the start. However, after talking to other shop people, they have said it is not very reliable. Any other opions please. Ta

Refractometer is a better option.

hydrometer is fine as long as you regularly check it against a known value such as water from the LFS that they have tested with a refractometer/hydrometer, ive had mine fior about 18 months and just regularly check it with a sample from my LFS

Yup there is nothink wroung with a Hydrometer just make sure you clean it after ever use too!
