-_- ... I know that I said before that Bonzai, my suprise fishy from BettaTalk, was a Delta. I seriously thought I read that on the bag, but I was so excited that I think I read it wrong. He looks definitely like a Crowntail to me.... but my friend Robin, who has 8 bettas, says he's a Combie. I've been thinking about it for a while, and I was wondering what you much more betta-savvy people think ~_~ Here's some PICS! (he just got his tank cleaned and water changed tonight)

yesssss I figured out the Macro setting! yesidorawk! :flex:

DOesn't look muc like a crowntail to me, his fins look a little bit tattered and the rays do extend a little bit but not enough for him to be a crowntail. Just my opinion though, I'm definately not an expert of any description.

Im not sure. One of my VT's has a tail edge like that.

Whatever he is, he's beautiful

I think he's a delta that had his fins damaged a while back and they're now healing. If not he could the baby of a delta and a crowntail breed. I'm not an expert so lets wait for more responses.

thanks you guys (+girls)! :* I'm still undecided, but oh well.... I know his poor little dorsal is torn. He came to me like that, I'm pretty sure he tore it while he was traveling. It is growing back nicely though. I hope to GOD his entire tail isn't just batterned and torn like that!!

I like the suggestion of Delta/Crownie. I'm going to e-mail Faith (BettaTalk) with pics and ask her ~_~

nice delta with damaged chewed fins............ :D

should grow back but maybe clear.........

Well, I'd definitely consider him a comb. Crownies would have a lot longer ray extension on the fins. But he is fabulous! What a beautiful boy, and I'm praying for a fast fin regrowth! :)
