Hi, I would like to introduce my planted aquarium based 4.11.2012. From original tank I had to remove internal filter and change to external one, also I added to original Juwel light ramp DIY lighting (see description). Firsts 6weeks I had original Juwel lights on for 6 hours/day, then I added DIY lights. At present lights are on 9hours/day. Firsts 3 weeks I was changing 50% of water daily, next 3weeks 50% of water twice a week and after 6weeks 50% of water once a week. This helped me to avoid any algae and my plants are doing very well.

How do you get growth on the dwarf plants like you do. Every time ive tried both Eleocharis parvula and Hemianthus callitrichoides its almost like immediate death when they go in the tank?

I'm planting them from 1st day of sutup all the time.I do massive water changes for first month.I mean 50% of water every day for 2-3 weeks.You also need good water circulation in your aquarium and good lighting.There is few more things.For my Coma aqua there was no problem with enything.Check the technic on the top of my topic.Good luck
