Colt Coral Propagation

Good day,

I have decided to propagate my Colt Coral it grow very big now.
I found these methods

they sound easy to do but my question is, if I cut a couple of pieces of my coral, will it be able to
cure himself and continue to live in my tank?

this is my coral, but pic is kinda old so coral is double of the size on a pic

Yeah, those methods are fine and your colt coral should heal up just fine. You'll be surprised how easy propagation is

This might sound stupid but what are you going to do with all the pieces of colt coral you will propagate?
