just got a few colour Botia. mad fish. couldn't find much info about these little guys, so can you help?

are they nocturnal? as mine hide all the time, only had them a few days but seem to come out to play when the lights are off. also what is the best grub for them?

so can you help?
Not really, not without knowing what they are. "Colour Botia" could mean almost anything. There are several Botia species which have colours in some of their common names, Blue Botia for example. There are also Botias that have been artificially coloured by injecting dye. "Chromo..." means coloured, so it could be Chromobotia...

If you don't know what they, can you post a picture.

Without much more to go on it is going to be really difficult. Some Botia are largely nocturnal, others not. Almost all recently moved fish will be shy for a while.

Yeah, a picture would be great with a more detailed description of their coloring & size would be helpful.

It is most likely a Y.modesta as these are one of the more commonly colored species, but it's just a guess.
