Hey there,

im considering buying some colombian tetra's..proberly buy 3 and see how they get on before considering a further 2. However in my tank I have 5 neon tetra's,4 zebra danios, 2 black mollies and 2 bala sharks. One of the bala sharks is around 5 inches big, would the colombian tetra's nip its fins? Or any of my fish for that matter?

Thanks

Columbian tetras are fin nippers but generally they pick on slow moving fish or fish with long flowing fins (like male fighters and guppies). If you keep them in a group of 8-10 then they will be less inclined to nipping fins. The more the merrier generally.

in theory the balas shoudl be fine but watch them for the first week or so anyway.
