Some pics of some of my Colombian tetras...
They're about 5 cm (2 inches) in size. Despite of the fact that it's advised to keep them in soft water, they've been doing great in neutral water overhere. Even the size shows that. But it's possible to size them up a bit more. But this is a nice size in my opinion.
Because of their aggressive nature, these guys are swimming together with a number of goodeids. Tetras like these need strong tank mates.

They were extremely popular in my old area, with medium tap water. They lived very long lives at friends' houses. I was never really drawn to them myself. They're beautiful, but a bit large for my tastes.

They're nice looking tetras, aren't they? These guys are from the Acandi River in Colombia near the namesake town. A bit bigger than my silvertip tetras...

Well, they can't be combined with all types of fish in regards to their behavior. That's for sure...! So, some sturdy fish like the splitfins of mine are good tank mates.

I love the blue shine on them...
