Basically I have a large tank with goldfish and 2 weather loaches in.

I am half thinking about re-homing the goldfish (I’m only half thinking about it as they are getting on a bit and I’ve had them 10 years and I’d hate to hear anyone else having them and them dying)…I want to keep the loaches though.

Would I be able to keep any other small Coldwater fish with them? WCMM or Danios? Or other options as I don’t see many other cold water fish around here.

Ideally I’d like to turn the tank into tropical but I like my loaches and I wouldn’t have another tank large enough to keep them in.

I wish I could help but I'm not competent enough to advice you on this. Hopefully you'll get a reply shortly.

I would advise you to keep the goldfish unless you can find them a good home with someone who had a large indoor cold water tank. After a lifetime indoors they are unlikely to survive the winter in a freezing cold pond.I bring my goldfish indoors for winter to make sure they are safe.
Weatherloaches can be slowly acclimatised to a tropical tank at lower temperatures. Mine used to live with goldfish but is now sharing with corries and paradise fish.
coldwater suggestions -a shoal of golden rudd, lovely pale gold colour with red tails and fins. Move in school formation and are delightful to watch.Ornamental variety of river rudd so quite hardy. They were my first fish and survived all my beginner mistakes.

coldish water suggestions - paradise fish, normally much less agressive than betta and need lower temp so can definitely share with loach and maybe even goldfish (check that though).Got mine from a Croydon breeder who breeds a very docile strain so you can keep pairs and even several paradise males in same tank

Don't worry I won't get rid of them to somewhere unsafe. I fancy it but in all honestly I've had them that long that I don't really want to get rid of them.

I was really just throwing the feelers out to see what I could replace them with, if I did it.
