coffee filter

can i use paper coffee filters in my HOB filter http/www.cvcoffee.com/prod_images_blowup...fee-Filters.jpg these are them but all stacked up

Coffee filters are designed to let a slow drip, barely a trickle through. I think they would slow down the flow so much that most of the water would bypass them. Being so fine they would clog real fast.

I agree it's not somehting that i'd advise using cos of the rate which they would clog up and also they may have evil chemical treatments on them.

I wouldn't worry about the chemicals, I use them to filter bbs for angel fry. It does take at least a minuite for a few ounces of water to pass through them.
