Hi all,

Just reading something about co2 in the tank. Is it true that having a spray bar or air stones has an effect on co2 in the tank. Should i point my spray bar away for the surface of the tank to preserve the co2 for my plants? I dont have co2 injection

Basically anything that causes excess surface water agitation, like airstones and filter outlets, will drive off co2. However if you have no surface water movement you can find the tank doesn't have enough O2 for the fish. So you have to find a balance between the two. People tend to have a fair bit of surface water movement and just increase the amount of co2 you pump into the tank to compensate :)
