Co2 Quick Question

just wanted to know if there is any way the water can backflow and cause flooding

If you don't have one already, you just need to get an inexpensive check valve. They look like this:

where abouts do i put that? i have the cannister running into the diffuser

if i attach one of them between will i still get the co2 going through?

Yep, between the source and diffuser is right. A check valve is designed to allow the co2 gas to pass in one direction, but not let water pass in the other.
