I need some opinions please... WHich do you all prefer the ladder diffusers or the glass/ceramic diffusers???
I have a nutrifin co2 ladder and was wondering if it wouldn't look better with a glass diffuser. Or am I just being fussy and either would work just as well?

DO the glass diffusers come in different sizes for different tanks or is it 'one size fits all'?
(I'm using DIY co2 mix, not injected, if that makes any difference)
Cheers

I'm a big fan of glass/ceramic diffusers... I use the Nutrafin Kits, but not the plastic ladder diffusers, glass diffusers generally diffuse the CO2 a lot better and the diffusers themselves look upmarket... Aqua Essentials sell a good range of diffusers; I use the nano glass diffusers on my tanks...

I switched from the ladder to a glass diffusor on mine. They normally say the from/to gallons that the diffusor is for so you should be able to find one for your tank.

I now use pressurised through the same diffusor, so make sure you get one that is the right size so it can handle pressurised if you choose to go this route later on.

Thanks guys, glass it is. Off to have a look for a suitable one.
What's the difference between the ones with a built in spiral and the ones without?

Don't know the difference or the point of the spiral to be honest.

I use a 'cup' style one (Rhinox 2000). which sends bubbles directly into the water.

I think the idea of the spirla is to diffuse the bubbles totally into the water, but I've read several coments by well respected planted tank experts that the contact with direct bubbles is better for the plants.

I'm no expert so that's what I followed.
