Co2 Diffuser

You can buy little limewood diffusors which are normally about £1.50 a pair off ebay or other places

Stick it straight into your canister filter if you have one, will cost you nothing and works great!

I am using a DIY forced reactor. If you have an internal filter or powerhead, fit the CO2 tubing into the venturi hole. Next, fit an old gravel vac to the outlet tube, using the flexible pipe that comes with the gravel vacs. The gravel vac needs to be fixed directly down, and a corse sponge wedged into the the end of the vac. The water is forced to spend a long time in contact with the CO2 in the make-shift reactor, thus most, if not all the CO2 gas is desolved into the water. If you are interested in this idea, I will try to get photos of my contraption tomorrow.

But first read the thread earlier where JamesC replied about Eheim stating that this isn't a good idea!!! before deciding on this route.

I have done it that way for years and know many others who have and had no problems what so ever. I'm not trying to discredit what has been said though as is possible it could cause problems

when i did it i ran it though a power head. reactor is also a good idea.

i known people who also put it in the intake of the filter and never had a problem. biggest thing to worry about is co2 build up and causing the impeller to lock up.
