How big are clown fish??

What kind of water conditions?

How often do they breed??

How long do they live?

How big should the tank be if I am going to get two??

How do you tell the males from the females?

*2-5 inches dependant on spicies(common clowns like nemo grow to 2 inches long)
*specific gravity(yes that meens salt water) 1.022-1.025 ph 8.0-8.5
*I dont know
*My friend had one for 7 years but It died in a accident
*If you have never had a salt water tank b4 you shoul start with at least a 55 gallon
*Not all males get allong with all females you need to buy them as a confirmed pair to be safe.
*You need to work realy hard on the water quality because you need to have an anemony too in order to reduce the amount of stress in there daily lives.

Dont buy one because your kid wan'ts a nemo!!!!!!
and you should have posted in the marine forum

Opcn

p.s. maroon clowns are the easy ones to get ahold of the grow to 6 inches and have a nice pattern but they are colored maroon so... oh and they cost about $60 for a confirmed pair

the sg could be a little higher. the average of all the worlds oceans is 1.026 and you can staryt off with a tank of about 40 gallons. also, i would not go for an anenomy for the first 6 months, they need the stability and the clowns will be fine without one.

Just because this was posted in the generally FW section, you're not talking about clown loaches are ya?

no, marine clown fish should be in the marine and reef section -_-
