Do Clown Plecos eat and destroy plants, like common plecs? Right now i have java fern, Java moss, and some sword plants...


Also, is $6.99 a good price for a clown pleco?

clown plecs tend to spend their time grazing on bogwood. they don't eat algae and won't touch plants. not sure on the price cos i live in the UK have a look at this profile http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...?species_id=734 for more info

they wont eat any of your plants they are small and that is a good price to pay definately!!!

Don't forget that clown plecs NEED wood in their diet, also the typical wood from LFS like mopani tends to be too hard for them

bogwwod is what they need and it would be ideal for your tank if you are having angels as they require soft acidic water
