Clown Loaches

Hi' What i would like to know do clown loaches mate while kept in tanks.I have 6 of them from when they were small from a pet shop about 7 years ago and they are nice and healthy Thank.Mark

I don't believe clown loaches have been know to breed in captivity. SH

I believe it has been done once or twice but very lucky for it to happen and it seems to be of luck rather than controlled breeding. How big are they now Would love to see some pics of adult clowns

Yeah i'v never heard of them breeding in captivity but theres a chance.

There are a couple of reports but no evidence to back the claim's......If i was you i would look out for helterskelter, he's very much into clown's and has been studying about the breeding habit's etc of the loach, i beleive he actually has the milt from the male, which has to be artifitally havested and injected, not sure of the process myself,but he know's what he's talking about,yo might think sometimes your going to be lucky, maybe you could,as i have been myself, but more than likely it will just playful behaviour or dominace
