Hi guys,

I am just wondering about my clowns, I have 4 in my 30G, I have had them for about 2 or 3 years, when I got them I had an outbreak of white spot.
They all survived but one of them never grew any bigger and is very very skinny, two others are normal a little bigger and the last one is just huge, about twice as big as the two medium sized guys, maybe like 15cm.

Question is I want to give them a better home, either to someone in the forum or take them back to the shop where I purchased them, I am just not sure if they will want the skinny one as it look very poorly but its been doing very well in the tank and eats well too. Most people just won't want it and I don't really want to keep it by itself or could I?

Many thanks

if it has been eating but not getting any fatter, then my best guess would be an internal problem, is its stomach sunken at all? good on you for wanting to find them a new home :good:

how big are the smaller ones? i fancy a group of clowns for my 92gal but i need to get them big cos of oscar, never see them bigger than a couple of inches in the lfs so i'm just keeping half an eye out for someone wanting to re-home some that have got too big for the tank.

it's entirley possible that he was done lasting damage by the bout of white spot and became stunted as a result of it. if it was my fish i would try to isolate it and feed it up, see if a good diet brings him on a bit

I'd be interested but I couldn't make it all the way to London. They could go with my other 10 if we could meet somewhere or something?

yes stomach is sunken, its sides are, it as been like this for over a year now, and is still swiming around without any problems it seems.

the small one is about 6/7cm and the medium are about 10cms. I will try to get an exact measure and post it here.

I will see if someone is willing to travel the distance otherwise I will let you know if we can do something.

Thanks for the comments guys :)
