I am going to be looking at putting some Clowns in my 125gal that I am working on. The planed tank-mates are going to be various tetras(see my sig, all tetras in the 112liter will be moving in), 3 Yoyo loaches and 1 common pleco. I was also planning on putting in some Gouramis(waiting for more info on how many would be advisable). I was thinking of having 4-5 Clown loaches, is this a good number to keep the tensions low in the group?

i think 4-5 in a 125 gal would be a good number, sice you dont plan on having many other fish in the tank anyways.

we have 4 clown loach, and they are great fish, they all get on really well, and we've had no problems with them.. except for one bought of white spot, which took forever to ger rid of.. so just keep your eyes peeled!!
they like to have tunnels to swim through, so we got some slate, boiled it, and created a whole network of tunnels and caves, and the loaches LOVE it... they have claimed this as thier territory!
good luck!

be warned when buying clown loaches bigger is better as the younger they are the weaker thier immune sytem is and they die easily also always buy the ones with the darkest colouring as this is a sign of good health
