i was wondering if anybody could help what other boatia loaches can be kept with clown loaches as maidenhead aquatics said that no other species could be kept with them is this true

>>> no other species could be kept with them

That's an odd thing to say, unless there was another reason for saying it. If your tank is large enough to hold them, most loaches will live with each other.

The point may have been that most loaches grow quite large, and should be kept in groups of 3 or more. Clown Loaches easily reach 8"/200mm and in good conditions will grow much larger. So we are talking about 3 large fish here. Many of the other Botia species also grow quite large, although you'll hear claims that they don't.

If your tank is large enough, and you avoid the aggressive species, (modesta, hymenophysa, morleti, etc.), they should be fine.

colinbeard, here is a list of all the loches I keep in the same tank
boita and otherwise.
6x Botia almorhae, 2x Botia modesta 1x Botia hymenophysa,
4x Botia Angelicus, 4x Botia macracanthus, 3x Botia striata,
3x Botia helodes, 3x Nemacheilus masyae and 2x Schistura mahnerti.

my next additions will be 2x Botia rostrata as they are in another tank and will soon be big enough to go into the loach tank.

I have noticed that all of the Botias will play together and sleep together.
I have observed no aggression issues, even with the B.hymenophysa
