I am not sure if i should get clown loaches. If you read my sig it lists the fish i have and will be getting. I will be getting a new tank (55-gallon or bigger) probaly by end of March (maybe less)
I can drop the C. Aeneus and get 4 clown loaches. Then re-home them in my new tank, by March. Will they grow to big and over-stock my tank before March?
If they will then i wont get them. I just wanted to know their rate of growth.
Any help would be appreciated

growth rates depends on a few X factors, like availability of food, how much food and temperature.
having said that, clowns grow fast to around 6" then slow down to approx 1" a year

I'll back you up on that wolf ;)

So do u think i can get clown loaches for my 30 gallon until March, or is it a bad idea?

It is believed that Clown Loaches take up to 12 years to get to their adult size. Mine have grown around 1/2" in the 5 months I have had them (bought at 2 - 2.5").

If you buy them small you will probably be ok.

K sounds good thx :D

Concurring with the above comments, let me add that 2"-2.5" clowns seem to be hardier than 1"-1.5", so you may be better off with slightly larger ones.

The other trick to keep in mind: try to avoid water temp drop while you are transporting them in a bag; otherwise you are likely to get a ich outbreak.
