I want to get some clown loaches in the next week or so for my 55 Gallon tank.
I have read a lot of things and every has seemed to agree to disagree which has me really confused.
I trust the people here and I know many have personal experiences with clown loaches.
My 55 Gallon is not a "permanent" home for them either. Eventually I want a 200 Gallon+ acrylic. I found one online for $700 new before shipping.
But I can't afford that yet. 
So, my question is, knowing I will eventually upgrade, what is a safe number of clown loaches? I understand they prefer groups, but how many? I don't want lone loaches going after other fish.
