i have two clown loach bought at the same time out the same tank they were the same size now one is growing a lot faster than the other both are active eat plenty lots of clicking when feed sinking tablets any ideas why.

When you buy a group of clowns, they naturally establish a "pecking order" amongst themselves as they get adjusted to your tank. Clown loaches like to have a clear hierarchy between members of the group. So one of your clowns invariably will grow bigger and faster, and be more dominant than the others. This is perfectly normal, and means that your clowns have gotten used to the tank and, more importantly, each other.

Cool, that's interesting.

My clowns did exactly the same. i bought them the same size from my LFS (three of them), and one grew huge very quickly (is now at least four inches). Another is slightly smaller (by an inch or so), and the little one has hardly grown at all!

I did wonder why, but they seem happy (apart from one or two worrying weeks when they hid!) and they all eat ok, so I am sure there is nothing wrong with them!

The larger one is the Dominat loach, so he naturally will grow faster.
